Would you please read Worldwide Cargo Term Condition carefully? Would you please look at our Worldwide Cargo Terms & Conditions if you send international cargo from us? You need to read and understand before you process. It’s the general T&C for the door to the airport shipment only. And please have a look below.

Worldwide Cargo Term Condition

1. Fragile Items:

Regarding fragile items, we do our best to deliver them safely and securely. However, shipping these fragile items/goods is entirely at the shipper’s risk, and they are responsible for doing Fragile Packing at their own expense. And it must mark the package as fragile to prevent damage. If you cannot do this, you should hire a professional packer. Airline or courier companies will not take responsibility for delicate items.

2. Packing Instructions:

It’s your responsibility to do secure packing for all of your goods. It can be suitcases or travel bags, but they must lock or cardboard boxes securely covered with tape. Would you mind not using any laundry or Jaffa bags, as these are unacceptable by the airline? In case of use, these must be covered with shrink wrap. We advise Shrink wrapping or covering with cling film the whole of your shipment during the wet and rainy season, as airlines don’t accept wet cargo and will not take any responsibility for the damage. We will charge you a minimum of £10 per box or bag if it’s not above.

3. Volume weight

The volumetric weight of a shipment is a calculation that reflects the density of a package. A less dense item generally occupies more volume of space in comparison to its actual weight. The volumetric or dimensional weight will calculate and compared with the shipment’s actual weight to ascertain which is greater; that will use to calculate the shipment cost. The formula for calculating volumetric weight is length x width x height (cm) / 6000

4. Volume Reduction

If a box has a limit of 30 kg and you put only 10-12kg in that box, then the airline will charge 30kg, not 10-12kg. In comparison, sending duvets, pillows, soft toys & so on takes more space than the actual weight. Therefore, the best way to reduce the volume and weight of your shipment is to buy vacuum bags, put everything that is not fragile, like a duvet and pillows, etc., in a bag, suck whole air with a vacuum cleaner, and seal it. After that, pack it in a box or suitcase. Would you please not try this procedure on Fragile, sentiments or Extra value items?

5. Destination contact details

Destination contact details must provide at the time of booking. At the same time, we may not accept any reservation without a destination phone number; all claims and complaints about delay or storage charges incurred will not entertain. Typically, mobile phone numbers are not an acceptable form of the destination phone number.

6. Customs clearance:

All airport handling and customs duties need to pay at the airport directly or through your agent. All receiving persons (consignees) must arrange their agents for customs clearance, as our destination staff will not be involved in this procedure. And we don’t take any responsibility for any illegal activities during customs clearance by the receiver or your agent at the destination.

You can declare it as a Personal Effects shipment if the reciever is going to the destination from the Uk within 20 days. In that case, they can get a discount on customs duties; the charges are only for guidelines. Maybe, Customs Duties on Dutiable Items will have to pay tax and customs duties if you book commercial quantity items as personal Effects Shipment. Also, you may need to pay an agent fee if you hire any for customs clearance of your shipment.

7. Personal Effects

Usually, Personal effects shipments are duty-free in many countries, but you need to pay Ground Handling charges for some countries. You don't need to hire an agent to release personal effects shipments for many countries, as you can do the declaration yourself. However, for all gift items, commercial or any other type of shipments, the reciever needs to hire an agent. And you can find a customs broker at your destination airport, or many customs broker offices are available at all airports. Your consignee can make a deal with any of them.

8. Identify your shipment:

Your delivery will be marked with an airway bill or consignment number, so it’s a custom warehouse staff’s duty at the destination to identify your parcel. So, it’s not the responsibility of our destination staff or any customs broker or agent worldwide.

9. Delay in Arrival:

Airlines will not give any compensation in case of delays in arrival at the destination. First, cargo is scheduled with passenger aircraft, with some cargo categories. All airlines prefer passenger baggage, then Diplomat mail and Human Remains, perishable goods, and last, there is dry cargo. During busy periods, if the dry cargo space is unavailable, they will move to the next available flights.

10. Claim and Insurance:

All goods are insured according to IATA rules and regulations. If you have high-value items, please arrange goods in transit insurance online. In case of damaged or lost items, this is the responsibility of receiving a person/party to obtain the damage or lost report before leaving the customs warehouse without this report. No claim can be filed with the airline, and with this report receiving person/party need to make a claim directly with the relevant airlines at the destination.

Please note that a valuation form must complete, and payment must be made to take out standard liability cover according to IATA rules and regulations. We can also not offer any Standard Liability Cover on TVs and other Fragile items as these are entirely at the shipper’s risk, even not airlines. So, to protect fragile items need to be created or professionally packed by the shipper. If you have declined Standard Liability protection for your shipment, our liability in case of loss or damage is limited per our Terms and Conditions.

11. Dispose of Goods:

We reserve the right to dispose of goods if you fail to pay the storage or invoice charges before the departure of your shipments.

12. Changes:

If you want to change the receiver name and any other details after the shipment is picked up, the CCA fee is GBP 70.00 for all amendments with Turkish Airlines.

13. Sending more than 1 TV:

Many countries only allow one TV as a Gift or in Personal Effects Shipment. If you have more than one TV, you need to send in another person's name, and this will be treated as a separate shipment; all cargo and handling charges you need to pay separately. For the rest of the world, please check customs rules.
